This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
On this Lord's day morning we find ourselves resting.
Last night things went very well. Alegria was awake for the longest time since we have been here. She got to spend several hours in mom's arms. Her bilirubin is down below ten so she is off the lights and we have a lot more freedom to hold her now. She loves being cuddled.
Her color is looking very well, and even when she gets mad she now turns a nice shade of red instead of the ashy grey she was turning before.
She is a lot more active and the neonatologist said her heart murmur was quieter last night.
Now all of this may mean nothing.....but we certainly think it all sings of progress and improvement.
We won't know much for sure until the next echo cardiogram which will be sometime towards the end of this week.
For now we take one day in seven to rest. Enjoy the time the Lord has given us and the opportunity to hold her close once more. We rest in the assurance of His promises that He holds all these things in His hands. That it is all for His glory, and that as Romans tells us, it is all for the good of those who love Him.
Things are not always easy, but we find peace in His providence and grace.
We thank all of those whose prayers have gone up on our behalf, and assure you that they have brought us peace and comfort.
Today we get to enjoy our new little blessing.......and rest.
