For I know the plans I have for you....

Eventful.....that is probably the best word to describe today.
We met with the cardiologist to review the results of the Echo Cardiogram.
We spoke further with the Neonatalogist about the plans to send us home.
We dealt further with the Speech Pathologist about bottle feedings.
We met with the Financial Counselor.
We met with the Social Worker.
We learned CPR and how to insert a tube down Alegria's throat, all the way to her stomach in order to feed her.

Yup, quite a few things happened today.
Yet amidst all of this, God still found the time to teach us all we need to know......
We cannot control all things, but we don't need to; because as the wise children's song states: "He has the whole world in His hands".

No amount of fretting, or worrying would have changed anything that happened today.
God in His grace brought a great many good things to bear however:

The Echo was good, the pulminary hypertension has drastically changed and is now almost to normal levels.
Alegria has been weaned off the oxigen.
The small wholes in her heart have not completely subsided but are decreasing.

The wheels are fully in motion for us to come home as soon as possible.
The Neonatalogist has fully worked with us on what that will entail, and he has very much so listened to our input on what is and isn't necessary. We have come to a great consensus.

The Speech Pathologist wants US working on helping Alegria to begin bottle feeding and has encouraged us to do so every feeding.

The financial aspects have been set in motion and since we are self-pay, they have given us a very fair discount for prompt payment.

Alegria is right now under going a 12 hour sleep apnia study.
Depending on those results we will be released either on Thursday or Friday.

A very positive day overall. We cannot wait to bring Alegria home.

We will obviously have to come back. This will be on March 4th when she will undergo yet one more Echo Cardiogram to decide if she is yet ready for the Obturator procedure.

We will be glad to watch over her at home until then, and to finally share her with her brothers and sisters.

Tonight we rest just a bit more peacefully.....
