Things went wonderfully this afternoon! The ECHO results were very good. The cardiologist said that the pulmonary hypertension has completely resolved. The multiple holes in Alegria's heart he expects to close on their own over the next few years. And the bicupsid valve's gradient valve (pressure difference on the 2 sides of the valve) has not increased. All of this means that Alegria has been cleared for surgery and we are not scheduled to see the cardiologist for another 8 weeks. I highly recommend Dr. Ghazli, I was throughly impressed with his practice and his caring manner!
I have called the Plastic Surgeon and we should know tomorrow when they will schedule Alegria for her prosthesis. We also have asked if it would be possible to fit the prosthesis and repair the cleft lip at the same time, since we are almost to the time frame when they originally said they could repair the lip, so we will know more tomorrow.
Alegria also did very well on the trip to and from Ft. Wayne.
So overall a very encouraging day! Thank you for your continued prayers!
