Mother's Day

May 2011...
Last Mother's Day I spent with my husband and all my children gathered around the table enjoying a delicious meal.  Ali was growing healthy and stronger.  She was so full of life and energy.

Ten days later Ali died from what we believe was a virus which had rapidly raviged her heart.

May 2012...
This Mother's Day I spent with my husband and most of my children, but this year two of my children are in heaven. Oh how quickly life changes. My children will never again all be gathered around my table, but God willing someday we all will gather together again around His table.

This year Mother's Day was certainly a more emotional day than past ones. Still we enjoyed a very nice day together. My sweet husband cooked a delicious breakfast and lunch for me.  We went to church.  The children had lots of sweet cards.  We enjoyed a refreshing walk in town.  We stopped in and visited my grandmother and then ended the walk by meeting my mother and siblings and nieces and nephews at dairy queen.  We finished out the day by everyone helping to make a delicious pizza and breadsticks.

It was really a wonderful day.

I am the very blessed mother of 10 children.  Two of the have already finished their race.  Thankfully 8 of them are still here with me and I am very blessed to get to enjoy them awhile longer.
