So much and so little going on here at the same time. :-)
Ali hasn't quite been herself this past week. She is more cranky. Her digestion/constipation issues resurfaced. And her skin has also been very irritated. She is holding steady on weight. I had sooo very much hoped she would continue gaining at that rate for a while, but with everything being out of sorts this week no weight loss is really a good thing!
It is so much fun to watch Ali and Ariel play together!!! The older sisters have been begging to take the babies out to play since the weather has started warming up, so I took Ali and Ariel out to play briefly on one of the warm sunny days this week (definitely not today!). They both seemed to enjoy it.
Ali is so inquisitive. It is so much fun to watch her investigate!!! Yesterday I was eating popcorn while she was in my lap. Ali would grab the bowl, pull it towards her, reach down, and grab one kernel out of the bowl. She would then bring it up towards her face, opening and closing her hand as she turned it to investigate it further. When she finished, she would throw it down to the other side and try to grab another piece from the bowl. :-)
Today the two little girls were sitting propped on the couch next to me as I was eating a granola bar. Alegria thought the wrapper was very interesting and took it from my hand to investigate further. Her little sister agreed and they wrestled around a bit both of them trying to grab the wrapper :-D
I read a quote recently which was attributed to Mother Theresa. It said "How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers.". These little girls are certainly even more delightful than a bouquet of flowers. They are such a great blessing and joy!!!
Still praying for wisdom and for Ali to continue gaining weight,
Jill
