April Updates :)

We are loving spring and the warm temperatures!!! We have LOTS of projects going on right now (spring cleaning, garden, goats, chickens, and rabbits???). Both the little girls have enjoyed getting to spend a little time outside in the warm sunshine already. Ali was unusually fussy this week, and I took her out to rock in the rocker on the front porch. She immediately stopped crying and began to look around very contentedly.

Last month Alegria gained weight at a very impressive rate for 2 weeks straight.... And then the dreaded reflux/vomiting began again worse than it has been in months. This week she saw our family doctor. He was very pleased with her overall progress. But we also agreed to finally try some medication for the reflux. This weekend Ali started on liquid Zantac. God willing this will settle her reflux issues and allow her to tolerate larger volume feeds.

We also bought a yearling goat this week due to kid the beginning of May. We are hoping and praying that we will be able to transition Ali from rice milk to goat milk shortly. This will be more nutritious and also high calorie content for her.

Ali continues as always to be such a joy and delight!!! She and Ariel enjoy playing with one another and it is so much fun to watch them together!

In another news, my husband is finally moving to dayshift!!! This is a huge praise but also means quite an adjustment for us all. We are looking forward to the transition beginning in May.
