I am posting photos from surgery which the surgeon shared with us as at least one person has mentioned interest in seeing them, but I know that many may NOT want to see them so I am giving you fair warning...

As you can see, the doctor did not merely close the holes in her mouth, but also had to rearrange and manipulate the entire roof of her mouth which gives a better idea of why Ali is so uncomfortable.  Also in the final photo, you may notice there are still small holes left in the palate.  These will close on their own over time.
