Post OP

We have no internet in this PICU room, and I am having quite a bit of technical difficulties trying to update everything via our blackberries, so I am sorry these posts are just now coming through (thought it had sent several hours ago)...

Out of surgery- recovering in the PICU- she's doing well but a bit
swollen and fussy- she's also learning to breathe through this strange
new airway...

Praise God for a doctor who listened to my concerns and wrote orders
to allow Ali to be suctioned out... She has definitely needed it...
Still on morphine so she is groggy and looks fairly drugged... Should
be switching to tylenol 3 soon though... She is definitely more
uncomfortable than she was with the lip surgery but still is resting
quietly in mom's lap :-)

Ali is resting quietly now. We are giving her pain meds as frequently
as possible right now as she gets very hard to console when they start
to wear off. She is still bleeding off and on, but still is trying to
suck her thumb :-). She is also on a small amount of oxygen right now
just to help keep her oxygen sats a bit higher. Thanks for your
prayers and please keep them up!
