Friday Morning Hospital Update

Well Alegria has been playful, energetic, and seems a bit bored stuck in her oxygen tent.  Last night she was up quite a bit, playful and restless.  I think she might have been content if we would have just let her get a hold of the tent so she could chew on it- she did grab it several times and try :-) Ali would just finally settle down to sleep again and it would be time for vitals or breathing treatments (which of course often woke her up so she could investigate exactly what they were doing to her- she is so curious about all the new things!) She was soooo excited when we took her out to go for her chest xray this morning.  She was all smiles and wiggling everywhere.  She didn't even seem to mind the strange contraption the xray tech squeezed her into in order to keep her in an upright position with her hands above her head!

We just saw the doctor, and he says it looks like viral pneumonia. Her chest xrays continue to come back clear though, and she is looking much better. Her oxygen saturation is staying close to 100, except for a couple times when she needed suctioned out (but this is not unusual for Ali at all when she is sick).  We will keep her in the oxygen tent tonight and likely head home first thing in the morning. Thanks for your prayers!
